Chinese lantern mosaic patterns and the Arabesque mosaic patterns are both patterns derived from historical influences. In Morocco you will find the classic Zillij Arabesque patterns created by the Berbers. Traditionally, each zillij tile is individually hand crafted and laid. It would take days and weeks to complete a area. Our Arabesque mosaics mimic this beautiful design with the convenience of a mesh mounted product. Our Chinese lantern mosaic patterns showcase the outline of this festive paper lantern found in both Chinese culture. During festivals paper lanterns adorn shops and streets. Our mosaic gives a nod to this wonderful tradition, available in lantern mosaics in small and large sizes.
