Q. Are there any discounts associated with a trade account?
A. We don't discuss discounts until an account is approved. Once approved you will receive that information via email.
Q. What type of trade credentials need to be sent after submitting the application form?
A. This can include your resale certificate, business license or trade affiliation documentation, such as membership with ASID, AIA, TCAA, CBD, CKD, IDS, or other.
Q. What if I don't have a Business License, trade membership affiliation or resale certificate?
A. We do verify trade accounts with the state or local licensing board prior to approval. We require supporting documentation in order to validate that you are in fact affiliated with the trade. We require this documentation in order to protect you and your margins. If additional documentation is requested but not provided, we will not be able to process your application. Most established trade businesses are familiar with the types of documents that can be provided to validate this requirement.
Q. Is my resale certificate or EIN number sufficient documentation?
A. No. We need to be able to identify that your business affiliation is related to our eligible trade categories. This membership is for Design trade members only. Simply providing an EIN number does not provide enough documentation to demonstrate that you are a member of the Design and Building Trade.
Q. What types of trade related businesses are eligible for your trade program?
A. Flooring and Tile Dealers, Stone Fabricators, Kitchen and Bath Design Firms, Contractors, Installers, Interior Designers, Architects, and Builders.
Q. How long does it take to process my application?
A. 48 hours approximately.
