For large projects we can provide tiles to match a specific selected PANTONE color. You can select from ceramic tiles or porcelain tiles as the base depending on the application and specifications required. Tiles are available in 3x6, 4x4, 4x8 and 6x6 and 8x8. Hexagon formats are also available in the following approximate sizes: 4 in, 6in, 8in and 10in.

Glazed porcelain in either the solids or hand painted tiles are excellent choices for exterior freeze zones. Porcelain tiles are fired at an extremely high temperature and are frost proof. These are suited for all over flooring applications when you are looking for a unique pattern with durable properties. The tiles will typically be 3/8" thick and on an 8x8 tile. Our custom lavastone tiles are an exceptional choice for outdoor installations, pools, gardens, water features, and freeze-thaw climates. Made from volcanic stone quarried near Mount Etna in Sicily, lavastone is cut, shaped, glazed, hand painted, and fired at extremely high temperatures.
The result is a decorative tile that offers both artistry and performance. Lavastone tiles are frost resistant, chemical resistant, and appropriate for wet areas such as pools, fountains, and water features.
For clients in freeze-thaw zones who want the look of Italian, Iznik, Portuguese, or Mediterranean decorative tile outdoors, lavastone provides a rare solution: a hand painted tile with the durability needed for demanding exterior conditions.
Each tile is painted by hand, giving every piece its own character, color movement, and artistic variation. Custom lavastone tiles can be produced in a wide range of patterns, colors, and sizes. You may select from motifs shown on our site, adapt an existing design, or provide your own design inspiration.
These tiles are produced on a lava stone base and are typically 1 cm thick. Because custom lavastone tiles are made to order, please allow approximately 12 to 14 weeks for production. Pricing is based on the design, tile size, quantity, and project details.
