Iznik Turkish Handpainted Tiles

Our collection inspired by Iznik tiles include the quintessential floral and arabesque motifs. These hand painted tiles will tend to vary from tile to tile due to the hand work of the artist. Iznik tiles were highly prized in the 1500s due to their impeccable quality and the beautiful vibrant colors and designs. It was said that no one could reproduce the blue tone found in an authentic Iznik tile. Even today, the blues are close but no match for the colors made by the Iznik masters.
