Azul Macauba or Blue Macauba Tile 12x12 Polished.   One of the rarest blue natural stone materials and hence one of the most luxurious.   Streaks of blue and grey are found in this material.   Very dense material that can be used for a variety of applications.   Azul Macaúbas is a Brazilian blue quartzite known for its distinctive blue tonal spectrum, ranging from powder blue and sky blue into deeper steel, denim, and slate blue bands. The stone’s chromatic movement is defined by linear mineral veining: cool blue fields crossed by white, grey, silver, and occasional charcoal striations. Depending on the block, Azul Macaúbas may present soft, cloud-like gradients or high-contrast, graphic linear patterns, both of which are signature to the species.

Common chromatic notes include:

• pale powder blue
• sky blue and periwinkle
• denim blue and slate blue
• silver and grey veining
• occasional charcoal accents

This natural variation is typical of Azul Macaúbas and is considered part of the stone’s value. Lighter, quieter blocks lean toward pastel blues, while more active blocks show intense linear banding with stronger saturation.
